Sandown's Betfair Tingle Creek Festival is Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December 2026. Friday Grandstand tickets are £22, under-18s free; race times are not out yet.

The Betfair Tingle Creek Festival, Sandown Park’s biggest jumps meeting of the year, is on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December 2026 at the racecourse on Portsmouth Road, Esher.

Tickets are on sale for both days. Friday Grandstand admission is £22 for an adult, and under-18s go free. The racecourse has not yet published race times or gate times.

The quick answer

  • Dates: Friday 4 and Saturday 5 December 2026, Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher KT10 9AJ
  • Saturday is the big day, with the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase and the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase, both Grade 1
  • Friday prices: £22 Grandstand, £30 Premier Enclosure, children free. Saturday prices did not display when we checked
  • Parking: free in the centre of the course, or £10 in the main car park; Esher station is about ten minutes’ walk

Friday 4 December: the opening day

Sandown describes Friday as “a thrilling six-race card”, featuring the Grade 2 Winter Novices’ Hurdle over two and a half miles.

Advance prices on the racecourse’s own booking pages for Friday:

  • Grandstand Enclosure: £22 an adult, £19.80 each for groups of six or more, children £0
  • Premier Enclosure: £30 an adult, £27 each for groups of six or more, children £0. Premier adds parade ring viewing and the Premier Lounge

Under-18s must come with a responsible adult aged 21 or over, and one adult can bring up to three. Sandown’s terms say children’s tickets are free at most fixtures but “may be limited at high demand fixtures”, so add them to the basket when you buy.

Saturday 5 December: Tingle Creek day

Saturday is headlined by two Grade 1 contests, the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase and the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase. Tickets are on sale through the racecourse, but the Saturday enclosure prices did not display on the booking pages when we checked on 9 October. We will add them.

New for 2026 is the Beer Grotto in Esher Hall, a group package with Grandstand admission, a drinks package running until the final race, a £10 food voucher and guaranteed entry to the After Party. Sandown says spaces are limited.

Times: not published yet

Neither day has published first-race or gate times. The racecourse’s event listing gives no times for either day. Times are normally confirmed nearer the meeting; we will add them here when they are.

Getting there and parking

  • Free parking in the centre of the course, reached from the More Lane entrance. The course entrance shuts for about ten minutes before and after each race while horses are on the track
  • £10 to park in the main car park off Portsmouth Road, in front of the main entrance. Blue badge holders park free in allocated spaces there
  • For satnav, Sandown says to enter “Portsmouth Road” rather than the postcode
  • By train: Esher station is next to the course, about a ten-minute walk from the entrances, with trains to London Waterloo

The main car park is off the A307 Portsmouth Road in Esher village. Check our roadworks and travel page before you set off, and our parking in Elmbridge page if you would rather park in the village. Train times and any engineering work are on our Elmbridge train times page.

On the day

  • Sandown is cashless for tickets, racecards, food and drink. Cash is still accepted by the Tote and on-course bookmakers, but there are no cash machines on site
  • Picnics are allowed in the designated picnic area in front of the Grandstand, but not alcohol
  • Digital racecards are in The Jockey Club app; printed ones are on sale on the day
