Elmbridge fireworks 2026: two dates confirmed so far

Two fireworks displays in Elmbridge have 2026 dates and tickets on sale. Neither is on Bonfire Night itself, which falls on Thursday 5 November 2026.

Colets in Thames Ditton is Sunday 1 November. Esher Rugby, which is actually in Hersham, is Friday 6 November. Sandown Park, the borough’s biggest display in recent years, has announced nothing at all, and the detail below explains why that matters if you are waiting for it.

Colets, Thames Ditton: Sunday 1 November

Colets Health & Fitness runs the event at St Nicholas Road, Thames Ditton KT7 0PW, billed for 2026 as the Colets Halloween Fireworks Spooktacular.

• Gates open 4pm. The listing runs to 9pm.
• A “Spooky Hour” from 4pm to 5pm gives 30% off fairground rides, giant inflatables and drinks bought from Colets.
• Fireworks in the early evening. Colets’ own event page says the display is at 18:30. The Eventbrite listing describes a family light show at 6.30pm with the main display following at about 6.40pm. Either way it is an early finish by fireworks-night standards, so arrive before six.
• Funfair rides, a live DJ, street food vendors and glow merchandise.

Advance tickets only, and Colets says last year’s event sold out. Prices are £15 an adult, £10 a junior and £40 for a family ticket, with Eventbrite fees of £1.96, £1.55 and £4.04 respectively on top. The refund policy is a flat “no refunds”.

Esher Rugby, Hersham: Friday 6 November

Despite the name, the club is on Molesey Road in Hersham, not in Esher. The 2026 listing is Esher Rugby’s 2026 Fireworks Night at Esher Rugby Football Club, 369 Molesey Road, Walton-on-Thames KT12 3PF.

• Gates open 5pm, the display starts at 8pm, according to the club’s own answers on the booking page. The event itself is listed to 11.30pm, so the fireworks are the middle of the evening rather than the end of it.
• Funfair attractions, street food vendors and live entertainment.

Two price bands are running. Early bird is £11 an adult, £6 a child and £29 for a family of four; the standard bands are £12, £7 and £35. Booking fees of between 56p and £3.28 apply per ticket type. Again, no refunds.

Parking is the thing to plan. The club states there is no on-site parking and points people at Hersham station car park, which it puts at under a five minute walk. Sandown Park: nothing announced, and that is unusual for September

Sandown Park in Esher ran a Fireworks Spooktacular on Thursday 30 October 2025: gates at 6pm, display at 7.30pm, a costume competition between 6pm and 7pm, funfair and disco, closing at 8pm, with advance tickets at £10 an adult and £6 for under-16s and free parking in the Portsmouth Road car park.

As at 5 September 2026, the racecourse’s fireworks page still carries that 2025 date and nothing else, and its What’s On listing for 2026 contains no fireworks event of any kind. The listing does carry racing fixtures through to July 2027 and a Christmas event in December, so the page is being maintained. Read that as undecided rather than cancelled, but do not plan around it until the racecourse says so.

The school and club displays: no 2026 dates yet

Elmbridge normally has a scattering of PTA and sports club displays across the last week of October and the first week of November. The local roundup that still comes top of a search for them names Cleves School in Weybridge, Burhill in Hersham, Ashley in Walton, Cobham Avorians and Chandlers Field in West Molesey. That page is a 2019 listing. Its dates are seven years old and should not be used.

None of those organisers has published a 2026 date on its own site, and none appears in the Eventbrite listings for Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge or Esher. These events are usually announced in late September and early October, so it is worth checking again in a fortnight. We will update this page when they land.

Further afield and already on sale: Meath School in Ottershaw on Sunday 8 November, about six miles from Weybridge.

What it means for you

• Two confirmed dates: Colets, Thames Ditton, Sunday 1 November, gates 4pm; Esher Rugby, Hersham, Friday 6 November, gates 5pm, display 8pm.
• Both are advance-ticket only and both say no refunds, so check the forecast before you buy rather than after.
• Esher Rugby has no car park. Hersham station car park is the fallback and it is a short walk.
• Sandown Park is the one to watch: if it runs, it will be the last week of October, and it is the only one of the three with free on-site parking.
• Roadworks can bite on the Molesey Road and A3 approaches on a Friday evening. Check our roadworks and travel page before you set off.
