Garson Farm's Pumpkin Parade runs 3 to 31 October from £6.50, Hampton Court's haunted palace from 24 October, plus £2.50 council crafts and a fireworks night.

Halloween falls on Saturday 31 October 2026, at the end of the second week of Surrey’s two-week half term. Elmbridge has no town-centre Halloween event of its own, so the season belongs to the farms, the big attractions and a handful of cheap council and garden centre sessions.

Everything below was checked on the organisers’ own pages on 3 October 2026.

The quick answer

  • Pumpkin picking: Garson Farm in Esher, every day from 3 to 31 October, £6.50 to £8 a head, booked online only
  • Biggest day out: Halloween at Hampton Court Palace, 24 October to 1 November, included in palace admission
  • Cheapest: the council’s £2.50 craft sessions in Weybridge on 28 and 29 October, and free Shout! drop-ins on 21 and 29 October

Pumpkin picking

Garson Farm, Esher: 3 to 31 October

Garsons’ Pumpkin Parade is back on the farm at Winterdown Road, West End, Esher KT10 8LS, with a circus theme this year. Garsons stresses that means decorations and carnival-style games, not circus acts. The pumpkins are grown on the farm.

  • Tickets cost £6.50 to £8.00 each, depending on the date, and everyone aged two or over needs one. Under-twos are free. Groups of four or more get a discount at checkout, up to 10 tickets a booking
  • Booking is online only. There are no tickets on the gate, in the garden centre or by phone, and tickets are non-refundable, including for bad weather
  • The ticket is entry only. Pumpkins are priced by size and type and paid for at the exit
  • Entry is in timed slots: you can arrive up to an hour after your booked time. The farm closes at 5pm every day in October, and the last slots are 3.45pm and 4pm
  • There are no toilets on the farm. The garden centre’s toilets are not within walking distance
  • Garsons says the best availability is on weekdays from 5 to 16 October, before half term starts

Drive through the farm gate at the top left of the main garden centre car park and park in the dedicated Pumpkin Parade car park.

Crockford Bridge Farm, near Weybridge

Crockford Bridge Farm is on New Haw Road, Addlestone KT15 2BU, just over the borough boundary from Weybridge. It splits Halloween into three:

  • Pick your own pumpkins, 3 to 18 October. £7.50 a head plus a booking fee, for everyone over the age of one. Advance booking only, timed entry, free parking in the farm’s field car park. The fields close before the end of October to protect the crop from frost
  • Wonderland Pumpkin Festival, 24 to 31 October. An Alice in Wonderland trail led by actors and dancers, ending in a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, with fairground rides, face painting and street food. £14 plus booking fee, or £12 early bird, and adults need tickets too. The farm says it suits children aged four and older
  • Pumpkin Boutique, 20 to 31 October, 10am to 5pm. Pre-picked pumpkins with no booking needed, until they sell out

Halloween days out

Hampton Court Palace: 24 October to 1 November

Halloween at Hampton Court Palace covers the second week of half term. Inside, projections, sound effects and “ghostly figures from the past” fill the palace. Outside, the Wilderness has a trail of pumpkins and scarecrows aimed at younger children.

Storytelling runs daily in the King’s Guard Chamber at 11.30am, 12.15pm, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.15pm, about 15 minutes each.

It is included in palace admission, and members do not need to pre-book. Until 27 November, palace tickets are £30 an adult off-peak and £33 peak, and £15 or £16.50 for children aged 5 to 15. Peak means weekends and bank holidays. Under-fives are free.

The palace is across Hampton Court Bridge from East Molesey, outside the borough.

Chessington Howl’o’ween

Howl’o’ween at Chessington World of Adventures runs on the weekends of 3 and 4 October and 10 and 11 October, then daily from 17 October to 1 November. It adds Halloween shows, rides at dusk and costumed PAW Patrol characters to the usual theme park and zoo.

Day tickets start at £34 online against £66 on the gate, and Chessington advises pre-booking. Under-90cm children go free. The Stone Watchers scare zone is an extra from £9 a head. Enchanted Hollow, a trick-or-treat trail, is also an extra and had no tickets on sale when we checked.

Chessington is in Kingston, a short drive from Claygate.

Garsons craft sessions

In The Tipi at Garsons Esher:

  • Make and Take, Monday 26 October: Halloween bunting. Tuesday 27 October: decorate a spooky pumpkin, with no carving. Sessions at 9.30am, 11am and 1.30pm, £7.50 a child, ages 4 to 10, booked online

Halloween fireworks

The borough’s first fireworks night is Halloween-themed: the Colets Halloween Fireworks Spooktacular in Thames Ditton on Sunday 1 November, gates at 4pm and fireworks at 6.30pm, with a cheaper “Spooky Hour” for rides from 4pm to 5pm. Times, prices and the other displays are on our Elmbridge fireworks page.

Getting there and parking

Garson Farm and Crockford Bridge Farm both have their own car parks, and Crockford Bridge’s is free with a picking ticket. Hampton Court Palace lists 10 accessible parking bays on site. For the council’s car parks near the Weybridge Community Hub, see parking in Elmbridge, and check roadworks and travel before driving.

More for the break is on our October half term page, including Painshill’s children’s sessions and Claremont’s squirrel trail.

What it means for you

  • Book Garson Farm early and on a weekday if you can. Tickets are online only, non-refundable, and the farm says weekdays before half term have the most space
  • Crockford Bridge’s fields close on 18 October, so pick there in the first fortnight; after that it sells pre-picked pumpkins
  • Hampton Court’s Halloween is free with a normal ticket, so it is worth more on a peak day if you also want the gardens and maze
  • Halloween night itself is a Saturday. Garson Farm and the Crockford Bridge festival both run that day
