Remembrance Sunday falls on 8 November 2026, and Armistice Day on Wednesday 11 November. Elmbridge Borough Council has not yet published this year’s parades, road closures or service times.

Last year it listed parades with road closures in seven towns and villages. It published that list on 23 October, so this year’s should appear in the second half of October.

Where the parades are held

The council’s Remembrance in Elmbridge page for 2025 said parades with road closures were due to take place in:

  • Claygate
  • Cobham
  • Esher
  • Molesey
  • Thames Ditton
  • Walton-on-Thames
  • Weybridge

It gave no times or routes for those seven. Each is organised locally, and the council page was a list of where roads would shut, not a programme.

Oatlands: the one parade with published times

The only timetable on the council’s page was for the Oatlands Park Remembrance Day Parade in Weybridge. These are last year’s times, for Sunday 9 November 2025:

  • 9am: parade leaves Oatlands Park Village Club
  • 9.15am: service at the Oatlands Park memorial on Vale Road
  • 9.30am: parade returns to the club

It is an early service, finished well before the 11am silence, so it is possible to attend it and one of the town centre parades.

Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November

The two-minute silence is at 11am on 11 November whatever day it falls.

Last year the council’s Centres for the Community marked the week with lunches that had to be booked ahead:

  • Walton Centre for the Community held the 11am silence followed by a roast dinner
  • Cobham Centre for the Community served a Remembrance lunch at noon with entertainment
  • Claygate Centre for the Community held its lunch earlier in the week, with entertainment from 1.15pm

No 2026 lunches have been announced. The council said to contact the centres directly for details.

Road closures and parking

The council has not published this year’s closure times or the roads affected. They will be added to our Elmbridge roadworks and travel page when it does.
